Coffee Hour Guidelines
Thank you for hosting the Sunday Coffee Hour. Plan on serving 125-175 people.
If you have questions regarding what can be served during fasting periods contact
the Church Office, 206.323.8557.
Items needed
- 2-3 gallons juice or punch
- ˝ gallon half & half or whole milk for coffee
The Church supplies

Supplies are located in the upstairs kitchen, and also in the lower hall,
outside the kitchen, under the table, in boxes labeled ‘Coffee Hour Supplies’.
Donations
- You may designate donations to the church, or church-sponsored group. Non-church
sponsored groups are charged 10% of donations to replace paper items.
- Put all money collected in an envelope and mark it "Coffee Hour Collection".
Write the date, amount collected, and the organization to which the money
will be given, sign and give to Basil Papahronis or a member of the Parish
Council.
Miscellaneous
- If the coffee urns (downstairs in the kitchen) have not been turned on by
10:30 a.m., check with a Church usher.
- Suggest you start setup no later than 9:30 a.m. Church usually ends
between 11:45 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.
CLEAN-UP
YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR CLEAN UP. PLEASE LEAVE EVERYTHING CLEAN AND READY FOR THE NEXT EVENT.
- Clear all tables of used paper and plastic items and put in garbage containers.
- Items used in food preparation done in the downstairs kitchen must also
be taken care of.
- Empty and rinse large coffee urn and return to downstairs kitchen via dumbaiter.
- Empty and rinse glass coffee urns.
- ALL dishes, trays, and utensils must be washed, dried and put away.
- The custodian cleans the tables and floors.
