We are still accepting donations for the Orthodox school, and will continue to do so until sufficient funds have been acquired to move forward with the project.
At this time we have not set an opening date for the school, but we continue to welcome your donations and support.

Orthodox Prep has three fundraisers running at this time:
1. Our on-line holiday gift auction at www.orthodoxprep.org
2. Sally Foster gift wrap sales. We will receive 50% of total sales!

3. Nativity candles. These candles are for sale at St. Paul's, Holy Apostles and Assumption right now. They are tall tapers with a beautiful icon on the front and they make great gifts. They are $5 each. We can bring some to your parish.

Please help Orthodox Prep raise the final $28,000 we need to open the school this Fall. All of the money that has been raised to date has been due to your generous support, however we are in a critical time period and are asking you to be as generous as you can! We so strongly believe in the vision of having an Orthodox School in the Seattle area, and after hearing from so many parents, families, and parishioners, we know that you believe in this vision as well. It’s now time for all of us to pull together and make it happen!
To raise the $28K that we need, we will hold a Christmas Gift Auction online, Nov. 15 - Dec. 15. We are currently requesting donations of all sorts of goods and services. Donations and purchases will be tax deductable. Please help support the school!
Sample donations include: vacation home in Florida for one week, braces for one person, college counseling, dinner for two, a day of autocross racing, house cleaning, babysitting, crafts, baked goods, tutoring, tech support, and in-home interior design consulting.
Please consider what you might donate to the auction; goods and services of all sizes are encouraged. Deadline for donations is Nov. 5. If you cannot participate in the auction, please consider making a direct contribution to the school at this time; donations of all sizes are welcome. We are asking everyone to help us make an Orthodox education a reality!
The school will feature small class sizes, daily religious instruction, Latin lessons, school uniforms, and a school calendar that revolves around the liturgical calendar. Teachers will be certified educators who are Orthodox in good standing, and the school will be college prep and accredited. Help us build for the future!

Plans are still very much under way to open the new Orthodox Prep school in Seattle (click here), and much has been accomplished in the past two years. In order to insure the viability and longevity of the school, after much investigation, the Advisory Board unanimously feels that the opening date of the school should be moved to Fall of 2008. This will allow for greater fundraising efforts to occur prior to opening, which the Board sees as necessary to guarantee the future success of this much needed school. Fundraising efforts will continue, as will student recruitment and enrollment, for Fall 2008.
We truly appreciate the donations we have received, and especially the student enrollments as families express their support for the new school. As the scope of the project grows, we are greatly in need of both volunteers and financial support. Please keep the new school in your prayers.
